EGYPTIAN CANOPIC VESSEL II

This hand-sculpted canopic jar takes cues from a model jar inscribed for Sennefer and Senetnay, dating back to the New Kingdom, around 1427 - 1400 BC. It's elongated silhouette evokes quiet strength, while the hand-rendered hieroglyphics pay homage to the Mayor of Thebes, and his wife Senetnay, the Royal Nurse. Subtly weathered and matte in finish, it invites stillness and reflection. Dimensions: 8.5 inches in diameter. 14 inches tall. Material: Plaster/Paper Mâché
